![]() Sword Coast Legends Pre-purchasing the game, I have been around since Head Start 1 in which time there has been extremely little added to this game. Modules created by DM tools are extrememly linear with no DM as there is no scripting I still hope companies realize that Neverwiter Nights wasn't liked because of it's story, but because it provided a ton of options and a ton of content. However, for an RPG coming out in an era where developers are realizing that there's a market for "old school" RPGs, the lack of options for characters is kinda jarring. There's enough here to keep a Forgotten Realms fan satisfied, at least until games like Torment: Tides of Numenera to come out. However, for an It's not a faithful representation of the D&D system (which is a bit of a missed opportunity to show off 5e), and the editor is nowhere near as great as the ones from the Neverwinter Nights games, but it's certainly not a bad game by any means. It's unfortunate that there are no PC of bard, druid, sorcerer, etc. I don't think one can even make your party play roles like in other RPGs. Sadly, I was expecting a reflection of table top AD&D, and what I got was an action RPG light with a Wow-like skill tree system with little customization. The graphics are decent, and the voice acting is OK. There is real intrigue, here, which keeps me going. I It is fun to be a part of a beloved story in Forgotten Realms. Overall I'd suggest going elsewhere for a solid cRPG or, play this with an open mind and a very limited feeling of achievement when you finish it. But it's so limited that I'd really prefer to not have it at all. True this game has the ability to have a DM. Divinity Original Sin, Pillars of eternity for example are vastly better games. Thankfully some DEVS are still bringing out games which do. It's so unfortunate it's so far removed from DnD and is catered for a gamer that does not like to be challenged in a game. Limited classes, No skill checks, Bad AI, no crafting and I could go on and on. Where is the challenge in a game which holds your hands and walks you through it? With that in mind - it's a Diablo loot grabbing, hack and slash fest. The other thing that near ruined it completely for me is having no penalty for death. There was no need to have scaled Npc's, that alone has near ruined this game for me. Where is the challenge in a game which holds your hands and walks you through it? With that in mind - it's a Diablo loot grabbing, I can't understand why they did this? Why mess with a system that works well as it stands. Keep in mind, I am not an author.Įnjoy and THANKS for downloading my module.I can't understand why they did this? Why mess with a system that works well as it stands. I love reading fantasy and this is my first attempt at writing it. I even used names from forgetten realms books. I tried to have a forgotten realms feel to everything. ![]() I finished everything in a couple hours using a lvl 20, geared up, character. ![]() It's my first time making a Module and I like what I created. I wanted this to be fun for my friends to play while i DMed. Each area has at least a dungeon and one side-boss. You must complete the boss of each dungeon to unlock the next quest-giving area. Geoffston gives a dungeon and a few side-bosses. At that point you are directed to one town and given the first side-boss. All the side bosses are Elites with upgraded skills and stats. The dungeons are large with 3 levels each. Total Time to finish with a well geared team should be a couple hours. Check it out Search for "Deep Dungeons and Cursed Magicians"(no quotes)
